@02:14Wow, what a wonderful thing to say! ^^ I'm glad it inspired you, I only hope that my animations in years to come will do the same, I'm currently studying it in Bristol hoping to improve my skill!

@01:09You seem to have some problems with the chalkboard moving; but I love the effect of the drawing and writing, especially the close up where you wipe away the first notes and then write in more. Very cool. :heart:

@00:57I like this bit:
"we can Avoid the sun"

You really have the character's personality coming through here.

This is my first peice of stop animation - best peice of animation I have ever done and is based on the title "Freedom" so I looked at the story of Icarus and Dadelus from greek myth - and tried to real tell certian aspects through this chalkboard effect.

I based the work off artist Tacita Dean I saw in Tate Modern which was 7 chalkboards representing plans and events of boat journeys, and I wanted to recreate that effect with Icarus's fly to freedom.

Enjoy.

@02:14This film really had an impact on me, especially the ending and the music complimented it well too. I thankyou.

@02:15wow, thank you! ^___^ my animations I hope have improved since then! hehe, that was almost 3 years ago now.

I think I might make a new version of Icarus's Plans and enter it in a film festival once I've left Uni.

Animation ^^ I'm studying it at Bristol Univeristy, we're just next to the Aardman Animation Studios and it lets me use all the different facilities and styles of animation they have to offer.

But they drive us like slave horses ^^ Atleast in two years time I can do my own animation =D

we have 3 years too. The first year is like a trial and error foundation year, trying all types of animation - but mostly hand drawn. Then second year everyone splits into their prefered groups and makes a film together. Third years you make your own film...so yeah. I guess our course is a bit more about individuality and creativity more than inbetweening and such, but we learn enough this year if we want to further our knowledge I guess!
