My Top 3 Fictional Characters

Description

Well, it has been a long time since I've officially drawn them all, and people asked for fandom, so I thought I'd show you my three fav characters in fiction of all time.

And surprisingly to some, Carl does make that list and I'm going to explain why.

Ok, so first we have Remus Lupin now, people who know me well will know that I've loved Remus for a very long time. When I was about eleven years old, I started reading the Potter Series, so a good old nine years ago, and I sat in awe of the teacher when I was introduced to him.

I wanted to be a teacher like that, someone cool, and awesome and happy - said my eleven year old self. As I got older, the character got clearer and so did his tradegy and all he had to offer as a lover and a fighter and a friend and I will never fall out of love with him for that.

I'll explain Cazaril first, as he doesn't need as much explaining as Carl. I was low after the Potter series, and I was introduced to the Curse of Chalion, and the main character 'Cazaril' through some older more learned Remus fans. He is much like the werewolf we know, but with more...to him? written as an adult, for adults I guess, and the story itself is centers around him and the tragedies he's also gone through.

Needless to say, I love him as a separate character, and I've grown very fond of beards ever since...

As for Carl Fredericksen? Well, as you can tell my now, my main characters have very angsty lives, but Carl? He didn't really have that. He's a normal guy, with a quiet life, and his wife is this robust happy hyper thing (aka me. I am so Ellie you do not believe) and all he wants with his life is to be hers and to love her and he does this in such a way, that when he looses her, it's gut wrenching.

The particular moment that I think sums this up for me, is when Ellie is talking and pointing to the sky, and as she does he turns his head and closes his eyes, beaming like an idiot.

That for me is what makes that character, his reserved quite way of life, where all he wanted was adventure, and don't get me started on his powerful heroism at the end of the film, because that bit still makes me scream at the TV/Screen going. 'GO CARL GO!'

So yes. Here are the boys I love, if you haven't read Chalion I really suggest it, and I'm sure most people know about Remus and Carl already.

I hope everyone likes the picture, I enjoyed drawing it. Digital drawing is getting easier by the day, despite how shakey I get. ;___;

Enjoy and have a great easter!

So cute! You should draw old!Carl~ CB

For me, Lorne is the character to trump all characters. He's everything I'd ever want in a lover or a friend or in myself for that matter :D

You should try doing the character obsession meme! [link]
If you can think of seven characters, that is. ^^ I almost started it, but man I have so much art on the go. And it was hard to choose seven, it's a weird number for it I think. I:

Oh but, I wanted to tell you, I am drawing some Merlin and Arthur being camp and silly for you! :D
